Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. In the year 2017 the hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was issued through La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. It reached the top 8 spot in the Top Latin Albums Chart. The following year, he joined forces with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca that climbed to number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel on Mala Influencia and dropped the album Dopamina in the following year. He also performed as a duo TINI to perform her stream track Maldita Foto. 2023 was the year 2000 when the smash hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was born into an musical family. His younger brother and his mother are each musicians. In interviews, he has stated that music was a necessity. He began playing the guitar, saxophone the ukulele and piano when he was an infant. The first choice for his career was to become a vet however, his brother Julian convinced him to study how to sing under an instructor from a Cuban teacher. It was the result that he realized his ability to sing and also transformed his career path.
